It is stated by learned Counsel for the Petitioner that the Petitioner has filed an appeal against the Order dated 14.03.2024 impounding her passport. He states that the Petitioner is in dire need to go abroad for her official work, and, therefore, has approached this Court for a request to the Appellate Authority to decide the appeal as expeditiously as possible. 2.

In the special facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to accede to the request of the Petitioner. The Appellate Authority under Section 11 of the Passports Act is directed to consider and dispose of the appeal as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from today.
