The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the FIR 170/2019 under Sections 354B/509 of the IPC registered at P.S. Najafgarh, Delhi and all proceedings emanating therefrom, be quashed. 2.
The present petition is premised on a settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2. The petitioner is identified by his counsel and respondent no.2 is identified by the Investigating Officer. They both state that the FIR has been lodged on account of certain "misunderstanding". 3.
Respondent no.2 further states that she has no grievance against the petitioner and joins the petitioner in requesting that the FIR in question be quashed. In view of the statements made by the petitioner and respondent no.2, this Court is of the view that the interests of justice would be met if the FIR in question is quashed. Accordingly, the present petition is allowed and
FIR 170/2019 under Section 354B/509 IPC registered at P.S. Najafgarh, Delhi and all proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed. The petitioner and respondent no.2 shall sign this order as an acknowledgment of the statements recorded herein.
