By virtue of the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the petitioner seeks the following relief: "a) Direct the Respondents to ensure immediate medical examination of the Petitioner by qualified specialists including a dermatologist and, if required, refer the Petitioner to a government referral hospital such as AIIMS or Safdarjung Hospital;"

At the outset, learned ASC for the State submits that though the petitioner has been given the best treatments available as per the orders dated 22.04.2026 and 05.05.2026 passed by this Court in an earlier writ petition, however, without adverting to the merits involved, he submits that the present petition will be treated as a (fresh) representation, and the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. concerned Jail Superintendent shall be taking all necessary and appropriate steps in accordance with law to decide the same as expeditiously as possible.

In view of the aforesaid, since nothing remains herein, the present petition, alongwith the pending application, is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.

A copy of this order be sent to the concerned Jail Superintendent for information and compliance forthwith, with a direction to try and dispose of the same within a period of six weeks from receipt thereof.
