The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarika Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed by the Petitioner seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for production of a visually impaired girl, who is alleged to be confined by her parents.

Notice in the present Petition was issued on 23.04.2025. Status Report has been filed. The Status Report reveals that the Petitioner, who is also visually impaired, alleges that his friend - Ritika, a visually impaired girl, resident of Chaudhary Atta Chakki, Bank Colony, Bhiwani, Haryana, has been wrongfully confined by her parents.

are both visually impaired. It is stated that both of them met during a training programme organized by the Blind Relief Association. It is further stated that during the said training programme, they became friends and they decided to marry each other. It is stated that the parents of visually impaired girl are opposing the marriage of their daughter with the Petitioner herein and after conclusion of the training programme, the visually impaired girl was taken back by her parents and since then, the girl has not been permitted to meet the Petitioner.

The visually impaired girl and the Petitioner are present in Court today.

We have interacted with the girl and the Petitioner. The girl states that she would like to go with the Petitioner. She states that her parents are opposing the marriage but despite that she wants to be with the Petitioner. 6.

The Petitioner, who is visually impaired, and the girl, who is also visually impaired, are both majors, this Court finds no impediment if both of them want to get married and lead a happily married life. 7.

Since the girl has been produced before this Court, nothing survives in the present Petition.

Accordingly, the Petition is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.

The Police is directed to ensure the safe passage and safety of the couple.
