% 17.09.2020 [Physical Court Hearing] 1.

Mr. Benjamin, who appears for the petitioner, after having examined the nominal roll placed on record by the concerned Jail Superintendent, submits that this writ petition has become infructuous. 1.1 The reason that Mr. Benjamin has come to this conclusion is on account of the fact that the DGP evidently granted three weeks furlough to the petitioner with effect from 1.9.2020.

1.2 As per the nominal roll, the period of furlough terminates on 23.9.2020.

2.

Mr. Benjamin also informs me that he has interacted with the jail authorities and affirmed this position.

2.1 Furthermore, I am informed by Mr. Benjamin that the writ petition was filed prior to the aforesaid circumstance obtaining in the matter and therefore, this fact could not be incorporated in the writ petition. W.P.(Crl.) 1296/2020 1/2 By:VIPIN KUMAR RAI 20:05:14
