Nagar, District North, Delhi.
6.
Brief facts of the case are that on 04.04.2025, an altercation had taken place between the petitioner and respondent no. 2, pursuant to which, the present FIR has been registered on the complaint of respondent no. 2. Another FIR, out of the same incident, had also been registered, which is pending before the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court. It is stated that the parties have now amicably settled their dispute vide settlement deed/MOU dated 17.04.2025.
7.
On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, he has no objection if the FIR is quashed. The statement of the parties to the said effect had been recorded by the learned Joint Registrar (Judicial) on 01.05.2025.
8.
In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 9.
Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 0065/2025, registered at Police Station Maurice Nagar, District North, Delhi for the offences punishable under Section 126(2),115(2) of the BNS and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to the condition that the petitioner and respondent no. 2 will serve Legal Aid Services body in their college, twice a week, at least two hours a day, for a period of one month, in their The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
