The petitioner seeks to be released on furlough for three weeks in order to re-establish ties with society and to file SLP. It appears that the petitioner filed furlough application before the competent authority on 08.03.2025 but that application remains not decided till date 3.

Learned ASC accepts notice and submits that according to his instructions, the furlough application would be decided within one week. Under these circumstances, the petition is disposed of, directing the respondent to decide furlough application of petitioner within one week from today and thereafter, the petitioner may take appropriate steps, if required depending upon the decision or even indecision on the part of respondent.
