The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent no. 1/ BSES to provide electricity connection in the name of the petitioner at property bearing no. 7606, situated at Pathar ki Sarak, Qasabpura, Near Ghante Wali Masjid, Bara Hindu Rao, Sadar Bazar, Delhi-110006 (hereinafter 'subject property'). 2.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has placed on record a Sale Deed dated 16th April, 2013 in her favour in respect of the subject property. She has also placed a judgment passed on 30th January, 2026 in Suit No. 99759/16, in terms of which a permanent injunction has been passed in favour of the petitioner in respect of the same property. 3.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no. 1/BSES submits that electricity connection has not been granted on account of ownership dispute in respect of the subject property, as well as unpaid dues of Rs. Ms. Sana Ansari, counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is agreeable to pay the aforesaid dues. She further submits that the petitioner is in possession of the subject property and is the owner of the subject property.

Considering the submission made before this Court, it is directed as under:

(i) Arrears of Rs. 2,410/- shall be paid within two (2) days by the petitioner.

(ii) The application filed by the petitioner for grant of electricity shall be processed thereupon within one (1) week. (iii) The petitioner shall comply with all the codal and commercial formalities for grant of a new connection.

(iv) The petitioner shall pay the current consumption charges of the electricity in accordance with the bills as raised by the respondent no. 1/BSES, from month to month.

(v) Respondent no. 1 will be entitled to disconnect the electricity connection in the event of non-compliance of any of the above conditions.

The present order will not be treated as having conferred any special equities or any right of ownership, title or possessory rights in favour of the petitioner.

Accordingly, the present writ petition, alongwith pending applications, is disposed of, in the aforesaid terms.
