The Petitioners are convicts under FIR No. 81/2010, registered at P.S. Sadar Bazar, and are presently undergoing a sentence of life imprisonment. 2.

Counsel for the Petitioners submits that the request of furlough has already been acceded to by the Respondent and the relief sought in the present petition has been fulfilled. Since the relief sought has been rendered infructuous, no further directions are necessary. In the event, the Petitioners applies to the authority for being released on furlough while the other inmates are being granted a similar relief, such an application shall be considered on its own merits in accordance with law. The Court has not made any comments on the maintainability of such application.

Accordingly, the petitions are disposed of along with pending application(s).
