Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 ('Cr.P.C.') has been preferred on behalf of the petitioners with the following prayers: "(a) grant police protection to the petitioners, on the basis of the above mentioned facts and circumstances as enumerated in the writ petition, in the interest of justice; (b) Direct the Respondents No.1 & 2 herein to take strong action against the Respondent No.3 & 4 and their musclemen (unknown) and protect the lives, liberty and property of the petitioners directing the Respondents No.1 & 2 to take action against the Respondent No.3 & 4 and their henchmen; (c) Also direction may please be issued against the Respondent No.3 & 4 not to illegally grab the residential property of the petitioners illegally, the said residential property."

Issue notice. Learned ASC for the State/respondents No.1 and 2 appears on advance notice and accepts notice. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that there is property dispute between the petitioners and respondents No.3 and 4 who are 'Dever and Devrani' of petitioner No.1 i.e. (brother-in-law and his wife). A complaint is stated to have been lodged at Police Station Keshav Puram on 22.12.2023 but no action has been taken by police on the aforesaid complaint. He further urges that petitioners have received threats from respondents No.3 and 4 alongwith two unknown persons. 4.

Learned ASC for the State, on instructions from IO, submits that with reference to complaint dated 22.12.2023 lodged on behalf of petitioners, the statement of complainant was recorded wherein she stated that there had been some altercation on said day but presently things are normal. He further submits that the matter shall be looked into in accordance with law, in case any further complaint is received on behalf of petitioners. 5.

Taking the statement of learned ASC for the State on record, petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioners to take appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.
