By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of writ, order(s) or direction(s) in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction to direct State Authority/respondents to provide the protection of life, liberty and property from the police officials to the petitioners and protect them, as alleged, from the further abuse, brutality, violence, harassment and mental trauma from Uttar Pradesh Police, Shalimar Garden Police Station, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioner states that since the petitioners are residents of Delhi, they be granted protection from police officials of P.S. Shalimar Garden, Ghaziabad, U.P. unknown men who had offered her Rs.3,000/- to briefly hold a closed bag, ad they had taken her photograph and video holding the said bag. However, the U.P. Police, as per submissions made by the learned ASC for the State, have visited the house of the petitioners in connection with investigation of a criminal case.

This Court cannot grant a blanket order as sought by the petitioners herein and stop the police of any State from investigating a person living in Delhi, in accordance with law. The petitioners however have a right to approach the concerned Court/High Court of the State in case of any omission by the investigating officer or police of that State and committing any act against law or procedure.

In view thereof, this Court is of the opinion that this petition is liable to be dismissed for lack of jurisdiction at this stage. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner may approach the concerned High Court seeking any relief as deemed appropriate by them.
