This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking an appropriate direction to respondent No.1 to postpone the FMGE screening test until the end of September 2020. The petitioner is said to be a student of Medicine at Tribhuvan Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, Nepal and is pursuing his internship in the said hospital. He will conclude his MBBS degree in September 2020. Petitioner seeks to appear for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) Screening Test to be conducted by respondent No.1.

Learned counsel for respondent No.1 has pointed out that this test was to be conducted in June 2020 but has been postponed and is now sought to be conducted on 31.08.2020 He has also pointed out that there is a similar test which is also to be held in December 2020 inasmuch as these tests are held twice a year.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that in this year for this examination the brochure permits a student to appear based on a provisional passing certificate. He submits that it is apprehended that in December this facility may not be granted.

After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw this petition with liberty to raise the issue about eligibility to appear in the exam in question based on a provisional certificate on the issuance of prospectus of the next session.

Granting leave and liberty as sought for, petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

All pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of accordingly.
