The present proceedings are instituted seeking quashing of FIR No. 572/2018 under Section 420 IPC registered at Police Station Vivek Vihar, Delhi on the ground that the parties have reached an amicable settlement. 2.

Learned APP for the State, on instructions, submits that the chargesheet in the present case has not been filed. He, on instructions from the I.O., further submits that there is no other victim and the I.O. has not received any complaint against the present petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners and respondent no.2/complainant have entered into a settlement vide Memorandum of Settlement dated 20.02.2020, a copy whereof has been annexed as Annexure-P2 with the petition. In terms of the settlement, respondent no.2 is now left with no claim whatsoever against the petitioners. 4.

Petitioner No. 1 and respondent no.2/complainant have joined the Video Conference hearing and have been identified by their respective counsels as well as by the Investigating Officer. 5.

Respondent No. 2 states that she has entered into the settlement with her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by their statements made in Court today.

In view of the above and the fact that the parties have amicably settled their disputes, no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the criminal proceedings against the petitioners. It is accordingly directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed, subject to payment of costs of Rs.1,00,000/- to be deposited with the Bar Council of Delhi Covid-19 Fund (Account No. 50100360023897, IFSC Code: HDFC0000336, Branch Anand Niketan, New Delhi) within a week from today. Receipts evidencing deposit of costs be filed in the Registry as well as with the Investigating Officer.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of alongwith pending applications.
