O R D E R

% 25.01.2017 Petitioner and respondent no.2 were living in the same locality. On the complaint of respondent no.2, FIR No. 134/15 under Sections 354/354D/506/509/451/341/354A IPC was registered against the petitioner at police station Mangol Puri.

With the intervention of common friends, petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Rohini District Court, Delhi on 9th May, 2016. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by Insp. Uma Dutt of police station Mangol Puri. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue pressure, force or coercion. She further

submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further in view of the settlement.

Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 and that respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further in view of the settlement, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 134/15 under Sections 354/354D/506/509/451/341/354A IPC registered at police station Mangol Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to compensation of `15,000/- to be paid to the complainant (respondent no.2) by the petitioner by way of a demand draft. Demand draft, in the name of complainant, be handed over by the petitioner to Investigating Officer within two weeks, who will hand over the same to the respondent no. 2 thereafter.

Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous.
