O R D E R

% 24.01.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably.

Petitioner no.2 is mother of petitioner no.1. Marriage between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 1st December, 2016 by the Family Court, North District, Rohini, New Delhi. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Yogesh Raj of police station Prashant Vihar. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioners. She admits having received `2 lacs out of the total settled amount of `3.5 lacs. Balance amount of `1.50 lacs has been paid by the petitioner no.1 to the respondent no. 2 today

in Court by way of a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record.

Respondent no.2 submits that she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 261/16 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Prashant Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
