This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:- "A. Directing the Respondent No. 1 to provide the Petitioner with hostel accommodation for the remainder of the LL.M. course; B. Consequent to Prayer (A), directing the Respondent No. 1 to extend the Petitioner's hostel accommodation proportionately in case his program is extended or he is enrolled in any other course at the Respondent No. 1 University;

C. Directing Respondent No. 1 to undertake an accessibility audit of its website by a government-empanelled web accessibility auditor and to comply with the findings of the audit within a time-bound manner, as fixed by this Hon'ble Court; D. Directing Responedent No. 1 to ensure that its website remains disabled friendly during the lifetime of its operation;" 2.

Mr. Jain, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that only prayers 'C' and 'D' are pending. He states that the people with disability are required to have web accessibility of the respondent Nos. 1's site. regard to the people with visual impairment.

Mr. Garg, learned counsel for the respondent No.1 has handed over a counter-affidavit in the Court today. He states that the website is compliant and in case there are any shortcomings, the respondent No.1 would be more than happy to comply with the same. 4.

For the said reasons, it is directed that Mr. Jain, learned counsel for the petitioner shall give a list of the areas which require further web accessibility vis-a-vis specially-abled persons. 5.

In addition to the department, the respondent No.1, shall appoint an independent accessibility auditor to see the grievance of the petitioner as well as to point out any other accessibility issues for people with disabilities and will rectify the same expeditiously and in any case not later than 12 weeks from today.

The petitioner shall also be informed once the website has been rectified in terms of the shortcomings informed by the petitioner as well as the accessibility auditor.

With these directions, the petition is disposed of along with pending application(s), if any.

In case the petitioner is aggrieved, the petitioner will be entitled to revive the petition.
