This is a petition under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 [in short, 'Act'] seeking appointment of a Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate the disputes between the parties arising out of Star Critical Illness Multipay Insurance Policy dated 30.12.2023.

Mr. Shishir Mathur, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent/insurance company submits that the parties have already arrived at a settlement and in terms thereof, the respondent has paid an amount of Rs.25,00,000/- to the petitioner and the balance amount of Rs.75,000/- shall also be paid within a period of three weeks from today. 3.
The statement is taken on record and the respondent is bound down to the same.
