The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to provide police protection to them as they apprehend harm at the hands of respondent nos. 3 to 7.

It is stated that petitioner no.1 is aged 24 years and petitioner no.2 is aged 27 years and they have married contrary to the wishes of their family members. The petitioners further state that the family members of petitioner no.1 (respondent nos. 3 to 7) have issued threats against the petitioners and have also lodged a false FIR in PS Baheri, Bareily, Uttar Pradesh alleging that the petitioner no.1 has been kidnapped by petitioner no.2. 3.
The petitioners have also averred in the petition that respondent nos. 3 to 7 had visited their residence at Delhi and had physically beaten petitioner no.2. It is in the aforesaid context that the petitioners seek protection from Signed By:DUSHYANT RAWAL Location:

The petitioners have joined the proceedings through video conferencing and are identified by their counsel. This Court has interacted with petitioner no.1 and she asserts that she had come to Delhi of her free will and without any coercion or exertion of pressure of any kind by petitioner no.2.

In view of the averments made in the present petition, this Court considers it apposite to direct the petitioners to appear before the concerned SHO (PS Subhash Palace). The SHO shall evaluate their threat perception and provide such protection to them as he considers necessary. 6.
It is also directed that the petitioners will not be removed from the jurisdiction of this Court without any prior permission of this Court. The concerned SHO PS Subhash Palace shall ensure the same. 7.
A copy of this order be communicated to the SHO PS Baheri, Bareily, Uttar Pradesh electronically and through the nominated counsel for State of UP.

The SHO PS Subhash Palace, Delhi shall examine the complaints regarding the physical assault against petitioner no.2 and take the necessary steps in accordance with law.
