The petitioner is presently incarcerated in Central Jail No. 08/09, Tihar, New Delhi, pursuant to his conviction for offences punishable under Sections 376 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, as well as Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, vide judgment dated 05.07.2022 passed by the learned Trial Court. The appeal preferred by the petitioner before this Court, being CRL.A. 572/2023, was subsequently dismissed vide order dated 10.11.2025. 2.
The petitioner has submitted an application before the competent authority seeking parole for the purpose of filing a Special Leave Petition against the aforesaid judgment passed by this Court in CRL.A. 572/2023. although the said application was preferred on 03.02.2026, no decision thereon has been communicated till date.

Mr. Sanjeev Bhandari, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, appears on advance notice, and submits that the decision taken by the competent authority on the petitioner's application shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of ten days from today. 4.
In view of the aforesaid submission, and since no further orders are sought at this stage, the present writ petition, alongwith the pending application, stands disposed of, while leaving the rights and remedies of the petitioner open in accordance with law.
