O R D E R

% 01.09.2020 Hearing has been conducted through Video Conferencing. Present Petition has been filed assailing the Order dated 13.02.2020, whereby Respondent No.1 has cancelled the candidature of the Petitioner for the post of Sub-Inspector (Exec) in Delhi Police. It is clear from a reading of the impugned order that the matter is at the stage of offer of appointment and does not have any connection with the selection process. Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) had conducted the Recruitment drive and has been impleaded in the present Petition, however, since the dispute no longer relates to the Selection process, SSB has no role at the stage of offer of appointment.

Grievance of the Petitioner is thus confined to the impugned action of the Delhi Police, limited to the issuance of offer letter, for which the

jurisdiction lies with the Central Administrative Tribunal. This Court has no jurisdiction to entertain the present Petition in view of Section 14(1) of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985 and the observations of the Constitution Bench of Supreme Court in L. Chandra Kumar vs. Union of India & Ors. (1997) 3 SCC 261.

At this stage, learned counsel for Petitioner, on instructions, seeks to withdraw the Petition with liberty to approach the Central Administrative Tribunal.

Petition along with pending Application is accordingly disposed of with liberty, as prayed.
