By way of this application filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C., Petitioner is seeking regular bail in case FIR No.1877/2015 registered under Sections 394/411/34 IPC at PS Rajouri Garden.

The FIR in question has been registered on the basis of statement of Sh.Chetan Chopra who was going along with his wife Sarika Chopra on eriksha when two sikh boys came on scooty and snatched the purse of his wife. The petitioner has been allegedly caught on the spot. Apart from this case, he is reported to be involved in another case FIR No.254/2015 registered under Sections 356/379/411/34 IPC at PS Rajouri Garden, Delhi 3.

Taking into consideration the nature and the gravity of the offence as well as the fact that most of the time in such type of occurrences the offender manages to flee from the spot. But unluckily the petitioner, who was allegedly initially caught at the spot by the complainant but managed to get himself released from his grip after biting the left hand of BAIL APPLN. 229/2016

the complainant, was ultimately caught by the police officials on patrolling duty on hearing the alarm raised by the complainant, makes the nature of the offence grave which disentitles the petitioner to be released on bail. 4.

The prayer made by the petitioner for grant of bail is declined. 5.

The application is dismissed.
