Petitioners herein seek directions to respondents to provide police protection to the petitioners against illegal harassment, intimidation and unlawful searches from being conducted by the police officials, without following the process of law.

Learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that as per the instructions, which he has received so far, the externment proceedings against both the petitioners are under contemplation and seeks time to file comprehensive reply in this regard. He also submits that the petitioners are not, at the moment, residing at the addresses mentioned in the present petition.
