% 22.03.2018 After some hearing, the counsel for the petitioner submits that since case before the rent controller has already reached the stage of evidence, the present petition is not pressed and he may be permitted to withdraw the petition. The only request made is that suitable directions may be given for the case to be expedited, the respondent having committed defaults in crossexamining the witnesses of the petitioner, though opportunity was granted on several dates.

The counsel for the respondent though submitting that he is not aware of the proceedings before the trial court assures and undertakes that the respondent would take suitable steps in future so that no opportunity granted is wasted.

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
