The present Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking issuance of a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce Ms. Priya, who is stated to be the wife of the petitioner. 2.

It is alleged that Ms. Priya is being illegally detained by her parents and brother, that is, the respondent nos. 3 to 5. 3.

On advance notice of this petition, Ms. Priya has appeared in person before us.

Ms. Priya maintains that she is residing with her parents out of her own free will and volition, and does not want to reside with the petitioner.

In view of the above, as Ms. Priya is a major and is entitled to decide where and with whom she wants to reside, no further orders are required to be passed in the present petition. 7.
