This is a petition under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking an extension of time of 4 months from today to conclude the arbitral proceedings.

It is stated that the delay occurred on account of the fact that the parties took some time to finalize their witnesses and to lead evidence. 10.

Issue notice.

Mr Hashmi, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and states that he has no objection to the petition being allowed. 12.

Sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. 13.

For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the time for concluding the proceedings and passing of an Award is extended upto 05.10.2024 w.e.f. 05.06.2024.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
