% 30.04.2024 By way of the present petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.
The learned arbitrator was appointed on 25.08.2021. The pleadings were completed on 10.10.2022. The claimant's evidence has been concluded on 04.11.2023. The matter is at the stage of final arguments. The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 10.04.2024. Issue notice.
Mr.Anil C Nishani, learned counsel accepts notice for the respondent and submits that the respondent has no objection if the mandate is extended. In view of the consent of both the parties, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of six months till 10.10.2024. The period from 10.04.2024 till date is also regularised.
