O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 337/2024 By way of the present petition filed under Section 29A (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks an extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of six months. The learned arbitrator was appointed vide order dated 07.03.2022. It has been submitted that now the arbitration proceedings are fixed for final arguments on 01.05.2024 and 02.05.2024. However, the mandate has expired on 05.04.2024.

respondent and submits that the respondent has no objection if the mandate is extended for a period of six months.

Considering the aforesaid request and the no objection given by the other side, the present petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a period of six months till 05.10.2024 from today. Further, the period lapsed from 05.04.2024 till date is also regularised. The petition stands disposed of.
