The petitioner has filed the present petition impugning orders dated 23.01.2016 and 17.01.2018 passed by respondent no.2 for eviction of the petitioner from the premises described as property no. 3136/VII, Gali Naqqarchain, Turkman Gate, Delhi (hereafter 'the premises'). 3.

After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner shall vacate the premises in question within a period of six months from today and requests that the impugned orders directing forcible eviction be stayed for the said period.

It is the petitioner's case that he has been living at the premises in question since past 40 years. In this view, the request made by the petitioner is not unreasonable. The petitioner is bound down to the statement that he and his family shall vacate the premises in question within the period of six months from today.

Accordingly, the present petition and the application are disposed of by directing that the impugned orders will not be implemented for a further period of six months from today. The petitioner shall file an undertaking by way of an affidavit that he and his family shall vacate the premises in question within the period as requested by them. The affidavit be filed on or before 05.02.2018 with an advance copy to the learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
