% 31.10.2017 CM 38765/2017 The appellant was the driver of the offending vehicle and was held liable to pay the compensation determined by the Tribunal by judgment dated 23.09.2015. His appeal MAC APP. 119/2016 challenging the said award was dismissed by judgment dated 21.11.2016. The statutory deposit of Rs. 25,000/- made by him at the time of filing the appeal cannot be released to him. In these circumstances, the registry shall pass over the said amount to the Tribunal for it to be availed to satisfy the award in favour of the claimant, to the extent possible.
