The learned counsel appearing for the respondents points out that the petitioner has not mentioned any particulars regarding the Look Out Circular (LOC), nor regarding the passport number in the writ petition. 4.

The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that direction be issued to the respondents to disclose the details of the LOC, if any, issued against the petitioner.

The petitioner states that she is a citizen of the United Kingdom (although of Indian origin) and has been visiting India regularly. Her

grievance is that on some of her visits, she was detained by the immigration authorities on the ground that there was a LOC against her. She states that she is not aware of any criminal case or other proceedings against her. She states that the only controversy she was embroiled in was with regard to a matrimonial dispute with her husband which was subsequently resolved. The petitioner states that she has been humiliated on several occasions and would not like to face further humiliation. Therefore, she has filed the present petition.

The limited question to be ascertained is that whether there is any case/LOC against the petitioner. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents states that the petitioner has not provided her passport details and if the same are provided, the respondents would confirm whether the petitioner's entry to this country is barred in any manner or whether there is a LOC against her.

In view of the above the present petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to inform the petitioner about any LOC/criminal proceeding within a period of one week of the petitioner furnishing her passport details. It is further directed that in the event there is no reason for detaining the petitioner at the airport, the immigration authority shall ensure that the petitioner's entry to this country is not impeded in any manner. 8.

The petition is disposed of.
