This petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of the mandate of the learned sole Arbitrator, who is in seisin of disputes between the parties arising out of a contract dated 12.03.2020.

dated 24.03.2022 in ARB.P. 364/2022. It is submitted that the mandate of the learned Arbitrator has expired on 13.04.2024. 3.

Mr. Manish Kumar Saran, learned counsel, appears on advance notice on behalf of the respondent, and states that the respondent has no objection to the relief sought.

I am informed that the proceedings are at the stage of crossexamination of the respondent's witnesses. Learned counsel for the parties state that the respondent has submitted a list of 18 witnesses. Mr. Saran assures the Court that he will examine whether all 18 witnesses are, in fact, required, and make necessary submissions before the learned Arbitrator.

With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the petition is allowed, and the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended for a period of twelve months, with effect from 13.04.2024. 6.

The petition stands disposed of in these terms.
