By way of the present petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of six months for concluding the Arbitral proceedings and passing the Award. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is expiring on 03.05.2024.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has invited the attention of the court to the order dated 12.04.2024 passed by the learned Arbitrator. perusal of the order indicates that both the parties had agreed to the extension of mandate for the period of six months with effect from 03.05.2024.

Issue notice.

Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and submits that the respondent has no objection to the prayer made in the petition. Learned counsel submits that the matter is at the stage of final arguments. 8.

Considering the aforesaid request and the no objection given by the other side, the present petition is allowed, and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of six months from 03.05.2024 till 03.11.2024.
