The present petition raises a grievance as regards alleged illegal and unauthorized construction in plot bearing municipal no.6972, Kila Kadam Sharif, Nabi Karim, PaharGanj, New Delhi-55.

Learned counsel for the respondent no.2/MCD, who appears on advance notice, submits that the property in question has been booked on 22.04.2024 and pursuant to a show cause notice, a hearing has been fixed for 08.05.2024.

It is further submitted that a work-stop notice has also been issued on 23.04.2024 qua the construction being carried out in the property in question.

respondent no.2/MCD, on instructions, that requisite action, in accordance with law, shall be taken qua any unauthorized construction that is found to be subsisting in the property in question. It is further submitted that if any unauthorised construction is found to be ongoing, urgent steps shall be taken by the MCD to bring the same to an immediate halt. 5.

Taking on record the aforesaid statement and binding the respondent no.2/MCD thereto, the present petition is disposed of. 6.

Let a compliance affidavit be filed by the respondent no.2/MCD, within a period of 08 weeks from today.
