The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that adequate security be provided to them. The petitioners claim that they have married contrary to the wishes of their family and apprehend harm at their hands.

The petitioners have also joined the proceedings through video conferencing and are identified by their counsel. Petitioner no.1 states that she converted to Islam on 26.08.2020 and thereafter, married petitioner no.2 on 28.08.2020. The petitioners state that they disclosed their marriage to their family members on 31.08.2020. However, their family members have not accepted the said marriage. It is also averred in the petition that the family members of petitioner no.1 have issued threats against the petitioners. 3.

will and without any coercion or pressure from any person. 4.

Ms Vohra, learned ASC states that efforts were made by the police officials to visit the residence of the petitioners but the address was incomplete. She further states that an FIR being FIR No. 782/2020 under Section 366 of the IPC has been filed with PS Loni, Uttar Pradesh. She further states that there is no doubt, as to petitioner no.1 being a major. 5.

In view of the above, this Court considers it apposite to direct the petitioners to appear before the SHO, PS Wazirabad, Ghaziabad at 10.30 a.m. on 08.09.2020. The SHO shall examine the said threat perception and provide the petitioners such security, as he considers necessary. 6.

In the event the petitioners file any complaint, the same would also be inquired into and respondent no.2 shall take such steps, as are necessary and in accordance with the law.

It is further directed that the petitioners shall not be removed from the jurisdiction of this Court without seeking an order to the said effect. 8.

The SHO, PS Wazirabad shall also communicate a copy of this order to the SHO PS Loni, Uttar Pradesh.
