The learned senior counsel for the petitioner submits that by way of
the present petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the Central Information Commission (CIC) to hear the appeal filed by the petitioner against the order dated 16.12.2019 of the Appellate Authority of the Canara Bank under the Right to Information Act, 2005, expeditiously. He submits that a similar prayer was made to the CIC on 27.08.2020. 2.
The present petition is disposed of directing the Central Information Commission to consider the request of the petitioner for expeditious hearing of the appeal filed by the petitioner and pending before it. The petitioner shall be at liberty to mention the same before CIC. 3.
It is clarified that this court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the said appeal of the petitioner.
