Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023/482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 has been filed to quash the FIR No. 0010/2026 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and Sections 85/316(2)/3(5) BNS, at P.S. CAW Cell, Nanakpura and all the proceedings emanating therefrom.

It is submitted that marriage of Petitioner Soumya Verma (wife) and Shubham Verma (husband) was solemnized on 16.08.2021 as per Hindu Rites and Customs and out of their wedlock, one child was born. However, due to temperamental differences between Shubham Verma (Husband) and the Petitioner (wife), they started living separately since 16.05.2025. 3.
It is stated that on 24.02.2026, on the basis of Complaint filed by The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
Petitioner, FIR No. 0010/2026 was registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and Sections 85/316(2)/3(5) BNS at P.S. CAW Cell, Nanakpura wherein Shubham Verma (husband) and his family members were implicated.

Petitioner/Complainant-Soumya Verma (wife) and Shubham Verma (husband) are appearing through VC and they are identified by the Investigating Officer.

It is submitted that with the intervention of family members, relatives and well wishers, Petitioner (wife) and Shubham Verma (husband) have resolved their disputes and arrived at an amicable settlement without any force, coercion, undue influence and pressure. In view of the said settlement, they have decided to resume their matrimonial life peacefully. 6.
It is submitted that all the differences have been settled between the Petitioner and her husband and they will be living together in Dubai, where they both are working as Chefs.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the parties have been in regular contact and their relationship has been restored to cordial and harmonious terms, without any subsisting grievances or differences. No grievance against each other survives and since Petitioner has already made a statement before the Court that she does not want to pursue the proceedings in FIR No. 0010/2026, the present Petition be allowed and FIR be quashed.

Both, Petitioner as well as Shubham Verma (husband) confirmed that they both have settled their disputes and are happily living together. 9.

matrimonial dispute between Petitioner and her husband, which has been amicably resolved, no fruitful purpose would be served in continuing with the proceedings arising out of the FIR.

Consequently, FIR No. 0010/2026 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and Sections 85/316(2)/3(5) BNS at P.S. CAW Cell, Nanakpura and proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed. 11.
The present Petition along with pending Application is accordingly disposed of.
