By virtue of the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 343/2025, dated 30.05.2025 registered at PS.: Bawana, Delhi under Sections 281/106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS) and Sections 146/196 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (MV Act) and all proceedings emanating therefrom in view of the Settlement Agreement dated 16.05.2026 [Annexure P3] arrived at before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Rohini District Courts, Delhi, between the petitioner and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

respondents no.2 and 3, which is accompanied by their respective proofs of identity.

Issue notice. Learned APP for the State accepts notice and submits that he has no objection to the quashing of the aforesaid FIR. 3.

Respondents no.2 and 3, present in Court, also accept notice and affirm the terms of the aforesaid Settlement whereby out of total sum of Rs.10,00,000/-, the petitioner has already paid them a sum of Rs.6,00,000/- and today, learned counsel for the petitioner has handed over copy of the RTGS made by the petitioner on 27.05.2026 in the bank account of respondent no.2, which is taken on record. Furthermore, the petitioner has also paid Rs.4,00,000 to the respondent no. 2 via RTGS on 27.05.2026 towards full and final settlement of all their present, past and future claims, etc. Respondents no.2 and 3 submit that they have no objection to the quashing of the aforesaid FIR. 4.

The petitioner and the respondents no.2 and 3, present in Court, as well as their credentials, as on record, have been identified by the IO. 5.

The petitioner, appearing in person, submits that he shall additionally deposit an additional sum of Rs.1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand Only) in the bank account of respondent no. 2/ Risha @ Risha Devi [A/c No. 8051033800, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IFSC Code: KKBK0004631, Branch: Mamoor Pur Narela, Delhi], in three instalments of Rs. 50,000/- each on or before 31.12.2026, on or before 30.06.2027 and on or before 31.12.2027 respectively.

respective affidavit(s) qua the said effect, and in view whereof they shall remain bound by all the terms and conditions of the settlement arrived inter se themselves, following the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Jitendra Raghuvanshi & Ors. vs. Babita Raguvanshi & Anr.: (2013) 4 SCC 58, Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab & Anr.: (2012) 10 SCC 303 and Narinder Singh & Ors. vs. State of Punjab & Anr.: (2014) 6 SCC 466, since there is nothing left to corroborate and prove the case of the prosecution, continuation of the aforesaid FIR against the petitioner will be an exercise in futility.

Accordingly, the present petition is allowed and FIR No. 343/2025, dated 30.05.2025 registered at PS.: Bawana, Delhi under Sections 281/106(1) BNS and Sections 146/196 MV Act and all proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.

As such, the present petition, along with the pending applications, is disposed of in the aforesaid term.
