O R D E R

% 12.02.2018 The petitioner is seeking parole for the reasons mentioned in the petition. One such reason is that the petitioner wants to find a suitable match for her son. On the last date, it has been noted that the residential address has been verified.

The nominal roll of the petitioner reflects that the lady is a convict under Section 302 read with Section 34 of the IPC. She has been sentenced to undergo life imprisonment. As on 03.02.2018, she has undergone incarceration of about 10 years including remission earned by her. Learned counsel for the State points out that the conduct of the lady is dis-satisfactory and the son for whom she seeks to find a suitable match is in fact a bad character of the area. Noting these submissions which have been countered by the

learned counsel for the petitioner who points out that the conduct of the son which even otherwise should not be reflective of the prayer made in the present petition, this Court notes the fact that the lady has suffered incarceration for almost 10 years and fact that on the earlier occasion when parole had been granted to her, she has not misused this liberty. The petitioner be admitted to parole for a period of four weeks (to be counted from the date of her release) on her furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Trial Court with the condition that she shall report to the local SHO of the local Police Station. Her latest mobile number and address will also be furnished to the Investigating Officer. Needless to state that she will surrender on the expiry of the aforenoted period.

Petition disposed of.
