The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the BNSS seeks the following prayers: "(a) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of Certiorari declaring the action of the respondent in putting the name of the petitioner in the List of Bad Character as illegal;

(b) issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the name of mandamus directing the respondent to remove the name of the petitioner from the list of Bad Characters maintained in Register No.10, Part-II and Bundle-A (Surveillance Register);

(c) Pass such other or further order(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the interest of justice."
