The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that SHO, P.S. Uttam Nagar be directed to provide protection to the petitioner. 2.
The learned ASC appearing for the State states that the residence of the petitioner falls within the jurisdiction of P.S. Bindapur. 3.
The petitioner - who is aged about 80 years - has filed the present petition alleging that he fears for his safety from his son Sandeep (respondent no.3) and his son's wife, Smt. Laxmi (respondent no.4). He has alleged that respondent no.3 has physically assaulted him and has also removed valuable property papers from his almirah during the period when
the petitioner was admitted to the hospital.

The petitioner's wife is also a senior citizen and is present in Court. She states that petitioner is quarrelsome and is violent with her. She states that when her son (respondent no. 2) intervenes to protect her, the petitioner also hits him. It is apparent from the status report filed that there are family disputes between the petitioner and other family members. Both the petitioner and his wife have raised allegations and counter allegations of assaulting each other.

Considering the age of the petitioner and his wife, it would be necessary for the SHO to ensure that necessary protection is provided to both of them.

The concerned SHO shall provide the contact number of a Beat Constable who can be contacted during the emergency. The Beat Constable is required to play a pro-active role and ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioner and/or other family members.
