% 10.09.2020 Crl. M.A. No.12508/2020 (exemption) Exemption allowed, subject to just exceptions. W.P. (Crl.) 1437/2020 The petitioner seeks registration of an FIR against respondents Nos. 4 to 11 arising from an alleged physical assault made on her by the said respondents.

However, at the outset, Mr. Murari Tiwari, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that after the present petition was filed, the police have registered FIR bearing No. 325/2020 dated 06.09.2020 under sections 323/326A/506/34 IPC at PS : Ranjit Nagar, which satisfies the prayer to that extent.

Mr. Tiwari however submits that despite registration of the FIR, the petitioner prays for protection, fearing for the safety of her life and limb at the hands of respondents Nos. 4 to 11. 4.

Mr. R.S. Kundu, learned ASC appears on behalf of State/police/ respondents Nos. 1 to 3 on advance copy.

In the circumstances, the present petition is disposed of as satisfied, with a direction that the petitioner be furnished the cell phone numbers of the SHOs of PS : Patel Nagar and Ranjit Nagar and of the concerned Beat Constables, which the petitioner may use in any eventuality.

The petition is disposed of with the above direction. 7.
