This is an application filed on behalf of the Judgment Debtors inter alia praying that HDFC bank be directed to pay interest of Rs.8,65,280.30/- to the Judgment Debtors @ 8 % per annum for delay in depositing the rent amount.

The above captioned execution petition has been disposed of and no further orders are required to be passed in this petition. However, it is seen that this Court by an order dated 05.09.2013 had directed the HDFC bank to deposit the rent in respect of certain premises with the Registrar of this Court. It is also seen that there has been a considerable delay in depositing of the said rental amounts due to the Judgment Debtors.

In the given circumstances, liberty is given to the Judgment

Debtors to initiate proceedings for recovery of interest on the amounts deposited by HDFC bank with the Registry of this Court or any other sum(s) that may be due from the HDFC bank.
