The instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed on behalf of petitioner seeking the following relief:- "A. Issue mandamus to the Respondent Board to process the Application made by the Petitioner dated 15.01.2024 (ANNEXURE P-8) and to sanction and release the financial assistance under Rule 282 of the Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Rules 2002 and release the assistance to the Petitioner in a time bound manner..."

innocuous prayer to approach the concerned authority for expeditious disposal of his case and it is prayed that a direction may be given qua the application dated 15th January, 2024 filed by the petitioner, which is pending before the respondent-Board, to be decided expeditiously. 3.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the record. 4.

After perusal of the record, contentions made in the petition as well as the innocuous prayer made on behalf of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to allow the prayer of the petitioner.

The petitioner is at liberty to approach the respondent-Board alongwith the certified copy of this order within a week from today. After receiving the certified copy of the order, the respondent-Board is directed to decide the pending application dated 15th January, 2024 filed by the petitioner by way of passing a speaking order in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within four weeks.
