The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to respondent nos. 1 and 2, to take immediate steps to remove the encroachments caused by the shops situated in Chhattarpur Enclave, Phase2, especially in Building Nos. B-192 and B-196, Main Chhattarpur Enclave Road, by the shopkeepers, i.e., respondent nos. 3 to 6. 2.

A Status/Action Taken Report dated 18th July, 2025, has been filed on behalf of the respondent no. 1-Municipal Corporation of Delhi ("MCD"), relevant portions of which, read as under:

Considering the aforesaid Status/Action Taken Report, this Court notes that action for the remaining encroachment in the area in question, is being taken by the MCD.

The MCD is held bound to take regular action and ensure that reencroachment does not take place in the area in question. 5.

At this stage, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the encroachment in the area in question has not been fully removed. 6.

Accordingly, MCD is directed to ensure that regular and concerted action is taken with regard to the removal of encroachment in the area in question.

With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
