O R D E R

The present petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents for quashing the impugned letter dated 21st September, 2020, issued by the respondent no. 2, i.e., Ministry of Railways and the subsequent Declaration Form by way of which, the parking rates for taxi (Kali Peeli) at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, was revised. 2.

The impugned letter issued by the Northern Railways shows that the parking charges for the various vehicles, including taxi (Kali Peeli), were fixed as follows:- The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

The present petition has been filed by the taxi unions of various railway stations, including the petitioner's association, representing Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, on the ground that the respondents have arbitrarily revised and fixed the parking charges for the taxis at the railway stations.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent submits that an affidavit dated 24th March, 2025 has been filed on behalf of the Northern Railways.

At the outset, this Court notes that the affidavit, which is on record and has been filed before this Court is incomplete. Thus, learned counsel appearing for the respondent -Northern Railways has handed over a fresh copy of the affidavit containing the complete set of the affidavit, which is taken on a record. 6.

As per the said affidavit, new rates have now been revised, as per which, the parking charges for the taxi (Kali Peeli) have now been reduced to Rs. 400, instead of Rs. 1000, which was being charged earlier.

The new revision of rates/ charges is reproduced as under:- The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Considering the affidavit of the respondent-Railways, this Court notes that the very premise, on which the present petition was filed, no longer exists.

Accordingly, noting the aforesaid, the grievance of the petitioner in the present petition, stands satisfied. 10.

The present writ, petition along with the pending application, is disposed of.

It is further directed that the taxi drivers shall be allowed to park their allocated taxi lanes.
