Petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, has been filed by the Petitioner to seek protection from the Respondents including State of NCT Delhi and the Commissioner of Police to provide urgent and effective protection to the Petitioner.

Status Report has been filed on behalf of the State and the same is taken on record.

It is submitted in the Petitioner that the Respondent No. 4 and Jitender, an officer of UP Police has visited the house of his relative Ikra, D/o Fuljaha and has unlawfully arrested him. He was subjected to physical abuse and intimidation.

against the Delhi Police. In case, the State Police of UP has arrested the relative in accordance with law, no protection can be given. 5.

However, considering that it is alleged that threats have been given, the Petition is disposed of in terms of Order dated 03.05.2024 whereby the directions have already been issued to the Beat Constable and SHO to share the mobile number.
