The present petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 84/2023 dated 24.05.2023, registered at Cyber Police Station Dwarka, for offences under Sections 420/120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, on the ground that he has settled the disputes with the complainant.

The FIR was registered pursuant to a complaint in regard to cyber fraud wherein the complainant was contacted through WhatsApp and was offered commission for likes and shares on social media platform. It is alleged that the complainant was directed to complete some tasks on Telegram and subsequently duped of ₹95,000/-.

accused in the FIR since the complainant was not aware of the identity of the person who had cheated her. It appears that during the course of the investigation, Police interrogated the petitioner since a portion of the cheated amount was found to have been transferred into the petitioner's bank account. 4.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's bank account was misused, pursuant to which, the amount was transferred into his account and was thereafter taken out by the same persons who had committed the entire fraud. 5.

Investigation is still not complete and chargesheet is yet to be filed. Concededly, all aspects would be looked into by the Police and an appropriate report will be filed. At this stage, any prayer seeking quashing of proceedings would be premature. 6.

The petition is, therefore, disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum in case any grievance remains in future.

The petitioner is also at liberty to file an appropriate application before the learned Trial Court in case he feels that any aspect of investigation has not been carried out by the police. AMIT MAHAJAN, J AUGUST 13, 2025 "SK"
