The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950, read with Section 528 of the BNSS seeks the following prayers:- "a) Issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing simultaneous release of petitioner with co-convict (s) on first (1st) spell of furlough granted by the respondent for a period of three (3) weeks vide order bearing no.F.10(3745391 )/CJ/Legal/PHQ/2026/2682 dated 15.5.2026 in FIR NO. 81/2010, U/S 302/34 IPC, P/S Sadar Bazar; b) Pass such further order(s) as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper."

Learned Standing Counsel for the State, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is scheduled for his release, after the surrender of other coconvict, within a period of 7-8 days. 4.
