The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the concerned parties to grant them police protection. The petitioners have claimed that they have attained the age of majority and have since married.

It is stated that the marriage was solemnised as per Hindu rites and petitioner no.1 had converted. The petitioners state that since their marriage is an inter-religious marriage, the family members of petitioner no.1 had opposed the same. The petitioners apprehend harm at the hands of the family members of petitioner no.1.

In view of the averments made in the petition, this Court by an order dated 29.05.2019 directed the SHO P.S. Bhajanpura to ensure that the petitioners are protected through beat staff and in case of any specific complaint, action is taken in accordance with law.

The status report has been filed, which indicates that no complaint has been received from the petitioners. It is also stated that beat staff of Bhagat Singh Chowk, West Ghonda, Delhi have been specifically briefed about the case and the petitioners have also been provided mobile numbers of the beat staff and police station in case of any emergency. 5.

In view of the above, the order passed on 29.05.2019 is made absolute. No further orders are required to be passed in this petition. 6.

The petition is disposed of.
