This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 506/12 registered under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Sultan Puri It is stated that the matter has been settled with the respondent no.2/complainant amicably.

Respondent No.2 is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from the complainant whether the matter has been settled with the respondent no.2 amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure. It is further informed that the complainant since re-married after grant of decree of divorce on 22.11.2013.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties amicably By:AMULYA

without any fear and pressure, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Section 498A/406/34 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to settle in life after divorce, FIR No. 506/12 registered under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Sultan Puri and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
